A STORY TO CALL MY OWN

7.30, nos Iau, 21 Gorffennaf      7.30, Thursday, 21 July

Cwmni Theatr Re-live yn cyflwyno drama deimladwy sy'n dilyn tri pherson trwy gyfnodau allweddol eu bywydau.

Grŵp sy’n creu theatr arloesol gyda phobl hŷn yw Re-live. Wedi'u lleoli yn Chapter, Caerdydd, maent hefyd yn gweithio mewn cartrefi preswyl, cartrefi lloches a lleoliadau cymunedol ble maent yn annog pobl hŷn, a’r rheiny sy’n gofalu amdanynt, i rannu eu hatgofion a’u straeon.

Ar gyfer y prosiect hwn, treuliodd tri pherson sawl mis yn gweithio gyda Re-live ar broses gynhwysfawr o adlewyrchu ac adolygu bywyd, gan greu’r sioe theatr hunan-gofiannol hon ble maent yn mynd â’r gynulleidfa ar daith trwy eu bywydau.

Dyma stori go iawn am hunaniaeth, am ddianc ac am ddychwelyd. Mae storïau’r tri yn ein cymryd o Lundain yn y rhyfel i gefn gwlad Sir Gaerfyrddin, ac i gymuned lofaol Cwm Rhondda a strydoedd Caerdydd. Caiff atgofion eu mapio a’u hail-fyw wrth i’r tri pherfformiwr wahodd y gynulleidfa i ystyried eu straeon eu hunain. Wedi’r cyfan, mae gan bawb stori i’w hadrodd ...

Mae A Story to Call my Own yn awr o hyd ac fe’i dilynir gan drafodaeth anffurfiol ble gwahoddir aelodau’r gynulleidfa i rannu eu hatgofion a’u straeon hwythau. Dyma’r unig gyfle i weld y sioe yn yr ardal hon ac mae’n gyfle rhy dda i’w golli. Fel y dywedodd un aelod o’r gynulleidfa ar ôl perfformiad diweddar: “Roedd eich cynhyrchiad yn dda i’r enaid ... rwy’n hynod falch i mi ddod!”

Tocynnau: £5 ar werth o’r Morlan.

CEFNOGWYD GAN GYNLLUN ‘NOSON ALLAN’ CYNGOR CELFYDDYDAU CYMRU.

Re-live Theatre Company presents a poignant drama that follows three people through their key life moments.

Re-live is a group that creates innovative theatre with older people. Based in Chapter, Cardiff, they also work in residential homes, sheltered housing and community settings where they encourage older people and those who care for them to share their memories and stories.

For this project, three older people spent several months working with Re-Live on an in-depth process of reflection and life-review. They created this autobiographical theatre show in which they take an audience on a journey through their lives.

This is a real-life tale of identity, escape and returning. Their stories take us from war torn London to rural Carmarthenshire, the mining community of the Rhondda Valley and the streets of Cardiff. Memories are mapped and re-lived as the three performers invite the audience to think about their own story too. After all, everyone has a story to tell ...

A Story to Call my Own is an hour long and is followed by an informal discussion where audience members are invited to share memories and stories of their own. This is the only chance to see this show in the Aberystwyth area and shouldn’t be missed. As one member of the audience in a previous performance said: “Your production was so good for the soul ... I’m so glad I came!”

Tickets: £5 available from Morlan.
