The first meeting of the Morlan Religion and Science Group. An opportunity to discuss further the relationship between science and religion, but also to arrange talks to attempt to present scientific concepts which are so central to many contemporary religious and moral questions in as simple a way as possible. Maybe more on the physics relevant to the creation, genetics, neurology, medicine – also the historical background to the relationship between science and religion.

 John Bell's visit (Jan 2005)

Morlan invited John Bell of the Iona Community to Aberystwyth on January 19th as part of the preparation leading to the opening of Morlan. In a challenging address he gave a lively and penetrating analysis of our hedonistic culture, especially as seen in the advertising industry, in the media generally and in the world of children. But such culture is a challenge and an opportunity to a 'robust Christianity'. Plenty of food for thought and discussion.
